The Sea Sight of Greece

Shirley was a beautiful woman of England. Yet, she was not young anymore she was 42 year old already. She lived in Liverpool, the city where she was born. One summer, her best friend, Jane invited her to go to holiday in Greece. She never goes to Greece, she was curious about that country, so she decided to join with Jane in Holiday. In the Greece they stayed in a hotel near the beach. There, they welcomed by a friendly man named Costas. He was the manager of the hotel.

One evening Shirley went to the bar for some beverage, she found Costas stood there and they begun a conversation. “You know, I have a boat located near this beach. Actually it belongs to my brother, but if you want, we can go for a ride tomorrow. What do you think?” said The man to her. “Wow, it would be nice,” she accepted the invitation and she went with him next day. They enjoyed their trip very much, especially Shirley who never sails with a boat. Actually, Shirley likes the sights of Greece, so after the first trip, she went out with the manager of hotel every day. As usual they swam, sunbathed and spent much time together in the sea. They enjoyed it very much.

The end of holiday came, Shirley had to go back. She was in Airport already but, suddenly she decided to not to go home to Liverpool, her home town. She thought, she wanted to stay in Greece. Then, this girl left the airport and went back directly to the hotel where Costas as the manager. When she had arrived she saw Costas in the bar with a woman and she decided to hear their conversation. “Would you like to go for a ride in my brother’s boat?” said costas inviting the woman. But, Shirley didn’t care about that and she came nearer to them. Costas was shocked when he found Shirley standing beside him and the woman. He was extremely surprise, He got she smiled at him. Costas thought Shirley would angry with him but, she only told her purpose that she was looking for a job in his hotel. Shirley was not angry when she knew the fact that Costas was a playboy, because She was not in love with that man but, she fallen in love with the Greece and the sea sights of it.

EXPRESING DIALOGUE

Suci                      : Assalamualaikum

Nadia & Ira          : Wa’alaikumsalam

Suci                      : How are you Ira, Nadia?

Nadia & Ira          : We are fine, thanks Suci. How about you?

Suci                      : I am fine too. Will you go to the bookstore with me?

Nadia                   : Ok, I will. How about you, ra? Will you?

Ira                        : Of course, but I have a bad presentiment.

Suci                      : Stay cool, mamen. I think today is a fine and great day.

Ira                        : I hope so.

Nadia                   : Okay, let’s go.

(On the trip)

Nadia                    : What do you want to buy in the bookstore?

Suci                        : I want to buy some novel.

Nadia                    : what is the title?

Suci                        : One of them is “padang bulan”

Ira                           : Sorry? Padang bulan?

Suci                        : yeah, padang bulan.

Ira                           : Wow, that is great!

Nadia                    : ya.. Andrea Hiratas novel is very terrific!

Ira                           : wait, wait my friends.

Nadia                    : what’s up Ira?

Ira                           : Suddenly I have a headache. Ugh.. it is very painful.

Suci                        : I think you must go home for take a rest Ira.

Ira                           : ya, I think so suci.

Nadia                    : (suddenly) Hey look! Is that Loken?

Suci                        : Where is him?

Nadia                    : there, boy that use the motocycle one.

Suci                        : That is him. Ken! Ken! Come here!

Loken                    : (Loken look to Suci and approach to them) Woy, mamen. What are you doing on the street side?

Nadia                    : we want to go to back to Ira’s home. Ira get headache.

Suci                        : Oh, I have a good idea.

Loken                    : what is it?

Suci                        : could you bring to her home by your motorcycle? So she can take a rest quickly.

Loken                    : certainly, let’s go Ira!

Ira                           : Ok, thanks ken!

Nadia                    : Go, ken! I and suci will come afterward you to go Ira’s home.

(Loken and Ira go to Ira’s home by Loken’s motorcycle)

(Loken and Ira arrive in Ira’s home)

Ira                           : thanks ken! Let’s enter to my home.

Loken                    : sure. (suci and nadia arrive in Ira’s home)

Suci & Nadia       : Assalamu’alaikum.

Loken & Ira         : wa’alaikumsalam.

Loken                    : (open the door) come on. Zahirah is taking a rest in her bed. Now, she is better.

Nadia & suci       : (enter the home) Thanks Godness.

Loken                    : Nad, I have a good news.

Nadia                    : What?

Loken                    : We have won the LKTI competition.

Nadia                    : really?

Loken                    : yes.

Nadia                    : I can’t tell you how relieved I am!

Suci                        : congratulation for your winning!

Loken & Nadia   : Thanks Suci!

Nadia                    : will we go to the bookstore?

Suci                        : No, Ira is sick and I must go home now because I have been telephoned by my mother.

Loken & Nadia   : Ok, see you. Becareful !

Suci                        : see you too!
